Fernwood House
Fernwood House is the answer to a guest's preference for a small scale, private and luxurious lodging in the heart of the City of Warrem, Pennsylvania. We currently accommodate one to two guests (couples) at a time with complimentary ala carte breakfast and soft beverages. Fernwood House is a no-smoking accommodation. Though it is not a requirement, we will appreciate it if our guests not wear shoes inside the house unless they are indoor shoes.
Sixth Avenue is a short street where Fernwood House sits among the Crary Art Gallery and a cluster of historic residential buildings that accommodate a small group of able retirees. This makes sitting on the front porch over a glass of iced lemonade on a breezy summer evening a delight!
Fernwood House first bride and her bridesmaid
Located on a .56 acre lot in the historic district of Warren, Fernwood House enjoys the view of a wooded hill and the convenience of public amenities such as restaurants, banks, drugstores and grocery stores all within a walking distance. The fenced back garden offers a quiet and therapeutic seclusion as well as fine outdoor dining.
And yes...come sit under our shady mock orange trees next to this fountain of herons while enjoying a good book over a glass of iced lemonade!
William (Bill) Cochran is the host/owner of Fernwood House. An interior decorator by profession and a home rejuvenator consultant, Bill enjoys using his skills and attention to detail in providing personalized homestyle accommodations to his guests.
Enjoy the work he has done on this circa 1841 house and do not hesitate to ask him if you have any questions about his much talked about work that made the house the way it is now...a post-colonial home with a character befitting its era and aura.
Lee Rahman is the caretaker, the cook and the in-house certified massage therapist specializing in URUT(oo-root) - a traditional massage treatment for healthy and active men originated from the Malay islands.
Due to its invasiveness and strong pressure, it is highly recommended that you consult with your physician to find out if a strong massage treatment such as URUT is safe for you.
For more information and to schedule an appointment, please call Lee at 814.769.0192.
